Our mission

Substance abuse means we have missed the best things and the best way in life.  We have substituted an inferior product to meet our needs and to provide satisfaction

"Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good, and your soul will delight in the richest of fare."  Isaiah 55v2

As a Christian initiative, part of our task on the fort will be to make available the ideas, teachings and possibilities which are offered by the person of Jesus Christ.

The detox counselling programme will contain the Christian understanding of why problems happen  and the solution offered in Christian teaching.  This is centred on the person of Jesus Christ and his forgiving, renewing work to make a new creation.

Clients will have the opportunity to respond if they wish in times of devotions which will be part of the ongoing life of  'An Island of Hope'

No client will be barred on account of their background or faith.

For further information on the beliefs of the Charity see Churches
